Renting a kayak from us is easy and convenient. Start by selecting your preferred kayak online or by visiting our location in person. Next, book your rental through our website, specifying how long you need it and where you would like us to meet you for drop off and pick up. Make sure you provide a valid ID and credit card for the security deposit. We supply all necessary equipment like paddles and life vests. Once you’re done, simply give us a call if you are early, or we will wait for you on shore to return the kayak to us at the end of your rental time. Enjoy your time on the water!
For a safe and enjoyable kayaking outing, consider packing the following essentials: wear quick-drying clothing appropriate for the weather and avoid cotton as it holds moisture. You WILL get wet. Protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat, even on cloudy days. Bring along plenty of water and snacks to stay hydrated and energized, especially for longer trips. You are welcome to bring along a soft sided cooler with nonalcoholic drinks and snacks. Use a waterproof bag to keep your valuables like phones and cameras dry. Bring a towel or a change of clothes for the ride home as you will get wet while kayaking. We supply life vests that come outfitted with additional safety items like a whistle and waterproof light. These items will help make your kayaking experience comfortable and memorable.
Absolutely. You will get wet in a kayak so bring clothes that are quick-dry. Cotton tends to retain moisture, so avoid it if possible.
We will help you launch, but we still advise to wear waterproof or old shoes that can get wet.
Our youth kayaks are suitable for ages 5 and older with a weight limit of 120lbs, but require an a parent or legal guardian to accompany them with an adult kayak rental on the water.
We monitor the weather constantly. If any rental is cancelled by us due to dangerous weather a 100% store credit or refund will be issued, customers choice.
We will be remain open during rain but will cancel reservations if lighting becomes a threat to our customers.
Email us your cancellation request 48 hours before the start of your rental and a 100% refund will be issued.
Cancellation or changes to your reservation requested within 48 hours to 2 hours before your rental start time will receive a company full credit to rebook on a new date of your choosing.
Reservation changes or cancellations made within 2 hours of your rental start time will receive no refund or credit.
No shows will receive no refund or credit.
While we can't guarantee you'll spot wildlife on every outing, you're likely to encounter some fascinating creatures! Keep an eye out for alligators, bass, catfish, over 20 species of ducks and geese, woodpeckers, songbirds, and red-eared sliders. We'd love to hear about any amazing sightings you have, so be sure to let us know what you see!
False River does not require a shuttle for transport. The launch you choose will be both your entry and exit site.
